About

History

The Hendersonville Hellbenders Robotics Team started in 2021 out of necessity as there were very few, if any, robotics teams in the area. Children should have the opportunity to learn leadership skills along with technical skills at an early age to help foster the basic building blocks of the engineering profession.

The team was started by James Holtgreven who resides in Laurel Park, NC. He received his bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and his masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. After completing his degrees he went on to pursue his Professional Engineering license in the state of Ohio. He has 3 boys that have a passion for anything on the computer or technology related.
